Please register prior to May 1, 2024, to guarantee placement at your home school. As enrollment increases and we draw closer to the end of the regular school year, K-6 spots will be limited based on enrollment numbers and student/teacher capacity.
Seated Summer School Dates: June 3 to June 27, 2024

Only limited transportation will be provided, and stops will be different than from those during the regular school year.
Grades and Locations
Incoming K - 4th grade at Century, Espy, High Pointe, and Mathews
- 7:45 a.m. - 2:35 p.m.
5th - 6th grade at Inman and Summit Intermediate
- 7:30 a.m. - 2:20 p.m.
Current 6th Grade students will attend Nixa Junior High for summer school. Please see the junior high summer school registration information.
JTSD Extended School Year is for current JTSD students ONLY: K - 6th grade

Summer School Transportation
Summer school bus transportation is limited to students in 1st through 8th grade.
Which bus does my child ride?
Bus information will be available in the parent portal. If your child(ren) rode the bus last year, the bus information in the portal should be accurate. However, if changes to last year’s bus service are made through the current student registration process (new address, need bus service, no longer need bus service), the information will be updated as it is received by Alliance Bus Company and may not be immediately up to date.
Transportation information is located on the PowerSchool Parent Portal under "Transportation Info." This information will NOT be available in the stock PowerSchool App. It will be located in the PowerSchool app icon on the Nixa Public Schools App or on the PowerSchool Parent Portal link below.
How to view bus information on PowerSchool
- Login to PowerSchool Parent Portal.
- Under the ‘Navigation’ menu on the left side of the screen and scroll down until you see the yellow bus and select ‘Transportation Info.’
- In the ‘Transportation Info,’ parents can see bus information for summer school, including the bus number, description, departure time, etc.
- As a reminder, this data takes 72 hours to be entered into the Parent Portal from when the parent/guardian completes their Summer School Registration.

Breakfasts and Lunches
Students will be served lunches using the same systems used during the regular school term. As a result, students should plan to purchase meals (or bring lunch) in the same way they do during the regular school year.
