Hello!  My name is Mrs. D'anne Schnakenberg. I have been a Library Media Specialist for a number of years.  I graduated from Nixa many years ago, and I'm so glad to be back home.  To say that I love books and reading would be an understatement...but my real joy is working with students to find their interest in connecting with books.  I love to watch kids get excited about reading when they find that connection with a book or series. 

Before I was a librarian, I worked in radio and television for a number of years.  I am married to Tim. He works for the University of Missouri as an agronomist (he helps farmers). We have two sons; Cord, who graduated from College of the Ozarks, and Collin, who is a senior at Oklahoma Christian University in OK City.

Besides my love of teaching, I also enjoy hiking with my family, being involved with my church family, and spending time with my extended family. You can see family is a big word for me. I feel fortunate to also be a part of the Inman Team.  It's a great place to be!

One interesting fact about me is that my last name before I married Tim was "Inman."  I like to say that the district named the school after me...but the truth is, it's named for Nicholas Inman, the founder of Nixa, MO.
